Update: Dan Quinn has evidently pulled out of the running for NFL coaching jobs, including that of the Arizona Cardinals.

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday that Quinn has "informed interested teams that he is staying in Dallas."

Original story: One coach's odds to become the next head coach of the Arizona Cardinals continues to rise.

Former Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn, currently the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, has surged to +150 in DraftKings' latest odds to replace Kliff Kingsbury as the coach of the NFL franchise as of Thursday afternoon.

Quinn, who reportedly interviewed for the second time with the Cardinals was at on Tuesday, was at +300 in the odds on Thursday morning and at +750 in the odds on Wednesday. He was at +1500 in the odds at one point on Tuesday.

He is now second in DraftKings' Arizona Cardinals' next coach odds, behind former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores (+100) and ahead of current Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph (+500), San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans (+750) and former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton (+1000).

Quinn wasn't even listed in DraftKings' odds to be Arizona's next coach last week.

Chatter:Dan Quinn Arizona Cardinals coach speculation includes endorsement from Larry Fitzgerald

Quinn, 52, met virtually with the team on Saturday.

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported that he was聽 being flown into the Valley on Tuesday night to meet with team owner Michael Bidwill and new general manager Monti Ossenfort.

Quinn also is a top candidate for the head coaching vacancies with the Broncos and Colts. He was 43-42 in parts of six seasons as coach of the Falcons, which included two trips to the postseason and a loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl LI at the end of the 2016 season. He was fired by the Falcons after an 0-5 start in 2020.

Speculation has swirled around Quinn's potential fit in Arizona since news of his second interview broke.

Prediction:Frank Reich predicted to become Arizona Cardinals' next head coach

A clip of Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald speaking glowingly of Quinn, a former head coach with the Atlanta Falcons, was brought up in the chatter.

During the season, Fitzgerald was asked by Jim Gray if Quinn would be near the top of the list in the next NFL head coaching cycle.

Fitzgerald's reply: "He'd be No. 1 in my opinion. No question about that. What he's done. Obviously his experience, he did really good in Atlanta and had he run the football a little bit more he'd have a Super Bowl championship. So I don't think it'll be much longer until Dan Quinn is back on the sidelines as a coach in the National Football League. I think for him, most importantly, it's finding the right situation. You don't want to go to a team where you don't have a quarterback, you don't have a chance to win. You want to be in a place where you have a legitimate shot. Those type of jobs are difficult to come by. They don't turn over often."
